  7. I also really like this film and its one of my favorite Disney films, but much lower on the list. I didn’t see it when I was little and I actually saw this film when I was much older. I do know that my brother saw it when he was little because he was into dinosaurs when we were kids. I know people tend to compare it to The Land Before Time, but besides the whole “traveling to better land” concept, they are different enough in my opinion. I really admire Aladar as a character because of his optimism and determination to work with others to achieve something great and tries to think carefully about situations. The meteor scene was amazing and such a sad, but an experience for the eye. I also really admire Pilo and she’s another great mother figure in the Disney universe like Kala from Tarzan. <3

So glad you love this movie so much too, I totally agree it should not be considered a Land Before Time rip off since your correct it has plenty of differences the only thing that’s similar is the journey to the valley but that isn’t a rip off at all. And agreed the meteorite scene gave me chills and made me cry, I was shocked by how much death this movie contained for a Disney movie. I subbed to your channel too, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this movie!

      I think it’s cool how D.B. Sweeney went on to later voice Sitka in Brother Bear and Adult Aang in The Legend of Korra. 🙂

    • Lauren210 I’ve been subbed to him for a year and have done live hangouts with him in the past. I’m glad D.B Sweeney got work after this movie, he was perfectly cast as Sitka and Brother Bear is a underrated Disney movie just like Dinosaur I’m determined to review it later this year!

  8. I can’t believe it! Someone else likes this movie too!? I loved this movie when I was younger, and I still enjoy it, but I’m constantly surprised by how much people hate it! So glad to see someone else enjoy it too. 🙂

  19. I watched this movie once a long time ago. I was blown away when it started with so many creatures being killed. The way they set up their beauty to, I was like damn. I actually do have this on blu ray and remember it being pretty good.

Your lucky to collect it on Blu Ray I have it on VHS Video it’s a highly underrated masterpiece in my opinion!
