why so concerned about being recorded? perhaps you had intentions that you know would get you in trouble? these people MUST be recorded, they have shown society that they are untrustworthy and have to have a babysitter with a phone to record them on and make sure they don’t do anything wrong. because we all know how they are when the cameras are off.
Having worked with a couple studios that film documentaries, it’s a legal requirement (in the state of Louisiana, not sure about Milwaukee) that a consent form be signed to release any footage of people. Otherwise, facial censoring should be used to prevent potential lawsuits. The coffee shop people are idiots and assholes, but Duerst is also in the wrong for seeking confrontation on private property* while filming without consent and releasing it on the internet.
I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you, but there’s definitely more at play that could spell trouble for Duerst later.
