Ethics in Citizen Journalism – should journalistic ethics apply to citizen journalists

As the influence of bloggers on the national psyche continues to grow, what are the politics of this new layer of influence, increasingly farmed with enthusiasm by established journalists? How do journalistic ethics apply?

This is the story of what happened to us when we tried posting relevant and on-topic information on Andy Lewis' blog (aka @lecanardnoir). It most likely had something to do with Steiner "critic" Alicia Hamberg (aka @zzzooey).
