“Traffic stop” is misleading. This was an unoccupied parked car in front of the cameraman’s property. Had it been a driver being pulled over, yes that would have been interfering. There’s no reason the officer needed to react like this.

the guy filming shouldn’t have been that close while filming the traffic stop. The trooper definitely over reacted and escalated things instead of deescalating things like cops are supposed to do. They were both in the wrong, the trooper more so for assaulting the guy filming.

Grab your camera and walk around a police car during a traffic stop and see what happens.
In this video the cop reacted in a very unnecessary manor but the guy filming should have stayed on his property instead of walking around the police car and obviously making the cop nervous.
Hopefully the response would be a little more professional. Like politely but firmly tell the photographer to step back out of the direct scene It would be all that is required if then the photographer did not comply simply arrest him.
