Ourhealth Citizen Journalism: How it all began

In 2012 Health-e News launched the Ourhealth Citizen Journalism Project. A programme driven by a committed group of citizen journalists reporting on the health issues in their specific communities, many of which are rural and do not feature on the mainstream news agenda. What started with only 10 citizen journalists has now grown to 22 passionate and dedicate staff in 14 health districts across the country. Viva Ourhealth!
