The Police Inspectorate has released a report saying the Met's ability to tackle corruption from within the force is 'fundamentally flawed'.
Matt Parr, HM Inspector of Constabulary, says the behaviour of the Met Police is 'bewildering'.
The report was ordered after an independent panel criticised the Met for failings over the murder of private investigator Daniel Morgan murder in 1987, where corruption hindered the investigation.

quis custodiet ipsos custodes? What if… the police are corrupt themselves…
Who polices the police that police the police?
@@ThePinkBinks xD turtles all the way down
It shouldn’t be bewildering. They don’t tackle it because they don’t want to tackle it.
Exactly 💯
what about the dead body of a young women found on one of the palace grounds? nothing done by police
I remember that, I don’t recall hearing anything else about it though.

〽️〽️
Are we also not going to mention the fact that they also still have members in thier force who threaten, abuse and in some cases go on to kill innocent women for no actual reason?.

🙌🙌
they do it to everyone, women aren’t especially targeted.
It runs through every goverment , councils , social services , police etc.
Facts the police, government, council and social service fill with corruption and racism
Spot on. It’s all over the place. It’s out of control and it’s over.

@@acquiesce100 why ?
They say that money is the root to all evil, ( or a large percentage of it) I couldn’t agree more.
Not money per se but the Love of money
@@TuneThis51 Yes. Desiring money purely for egoic purposes. There is no virtue in that.
They investigate themselves , what could.possibly go wrong

“Inability ” ?perhaps not the most accurate choice of words.
Exactly how many Met have criminal records?
they investigated themselves and found no issues

Inability to tackle corruption? Or is it an unwillingness to tackle it?
There should be no corruption !
Why would a corrupt police force tackle corruption?
That is a fair question. Can’t hire a thief to investigate a burglary.
@@TheRadFactor they do that in the met by the sound of it
Corruption seems to cascade down from the very ‘top’ to street level. Never have we lived in a more deceitful world.
Won’t change until an external body independent of the government can prosecute misconduct in the police properly
Rest assured, no turns will be left unstoned and lessons will be learned.
nothing bewildering behind it they like our current government think themselves above the law
We investigated ourselves and found every thing is ok , no need to investigate any further.
It’s not Bewildering at all , The Met seems to think it’s a right of passage to be corrupt it’s now just the norm , which obviously leads to a lack of trust inspires no confidence and definitely no respect for Gangsters in Uniforms , sadly not exclusive to the Met
