Citizen Journalist: Fighting for Equality in Democracy

Hi, my name is Claire Kim, I'm 22, a student, and during the 2010 elections, I took some time off to work as a community organizer. One of my best volunteers and friends I made was a woman who organized her entire retirement home to vote and went door to door talking to people about medicare, jobs, education… issues that she cared about. She was 85 years old. It is people like her that I want to represent as a citizen journalist, and the faces that I see when I think of why I want a better, fairer, more just political system.

What do you think?
