  1. US treasury ragrding to the Russian economy, yeah, they are a reliable source. Dont you want to cite the British intelligence and the shovel/washing machine/ran out of missiles guys too?

    • I dont know how bad the state of affairs in Germany are, but Russia is a pretty clear red line for us in Sweden.

If you want us on your side, there is no grey lines in this conflict. If you think there is – then your list of allies to the north and to the east suddenly gets a lot shorter.

The Nordic economies are not tied to Germany (rather it is the other way around, if you take energy into consideration) and I can easily see a very different economic and diplomatic axis with Poland, the Baltics, the Nordics, UK and USA taking shape if Germany and France messes up the EU by electing Russia-friendly leaders.

    • @@charles___ I understand the importance of migration very well, and unlike Germany we are adressing it.

But it has nothing to do with Russia or Putin.

If you think we, Finland, any Baltic country, Poland, etc, will change stand on Russia you really dont understand the situation. We have a very good understanding of what lies next if we let Putin do what he wants in Ukraine and wont simply watch that happen.

  2. No dear expert she didnt say she wants to end the war, she says she wants to talk with both sides and if it is possible achieve a ceasefire. Its literally in your interview with her in this video…

  3. Yeah, some could connect the dots between your NATO Syrian oilwell protection contingent and Afghan war, and the increased number of asylum seekers from guess where, Syria and Afghanistan… Cant Scholtzie just ask uncle Joe to be less cruel to the imperial underlings so they dont escape into Europe? OK maybe that was necessary at some point, but why only we are handling the fallout of these things? BTW she didnt mention the 800.000 Ukrainians, who are indeed the largest share of asylumseekers by percentage in Germany, I guess thaone you could sign to her compassion…

    • Well, that oil field story connected to the US stuff in Syria was a Trump idea and had been reversed by the Biden administration and it was very brief in existence. Also it was a signed contract between a small US oil firm and the Kurdish so it was very controversial who owned what. The orange baby man was very loud and proud about it. Not anymore! All that oil is under sanctions rn and all that’s left is Trump’s shame (if he ever had any, beside pure greed). So this politician has outdated information or just typically pushing her own lies to rattle up people about it. Careful who you believe and vote for in the age of (mis)information…

  4. One day we will look back and talk about a time when one could be criticized because of calling for peace.

We are living in this moment when peace is a cuss word. It is an upside world.

  5. Yet another European who believes higher taxes solves everything. Castigating people who actually work and earn money so that others can remain home and do nothing is a failed idea that has come and gone.

Her policy on Russia will give more motivation to the Americans to pull out of NATO and halt all American military protection. If I were German, I would side with the AfD.

  6. I would have wanted to hear some more statements on the possibility of cease fire negotiations by other people. Only one voice is to few I think there is many viewpoints on this

  7. there is no such thing as a “foreign policy expert”. If they were all “experts” they would never disagree.
the person you interviewed is just an advocate for the same views as held by DW.
