‘Syrian people completely united in fighting US proxies’ – independent journalist

The political left in the US has historically been associated with anti-war positions. But when it comes to Syria, more and more people who identify as “left” or “progressive” are parroting the hawkish US political establishment’s calls for regime change. Independent journalist Danny Haiphong joins RT America’s Anya Parampil to offer his analysis of what he calls “rabid pro-war leftism” and how it doesn’t account for the truth on the ground in Syria’s ongoing conflict.

  1. Yeah, I’ve always thought the MSM narrative in Syria was bullshit. Same as Saddam. It’s complete crap and the US should leave. The longer we stay, the worse we make it.

  2. Wrong. Progressives, for the most part, do NOT agree with Liberals (Dem Elite like Clintons) regarding action in Syria. Actual Progressives (Greens and Democratic Socialists, etc.) vehemently disagree and are actively seeking objective, factual journalism. We are listening to people such as Eva Bartlett, who have genuine experience in Syria and are and/or have been on the ground. RT generally gets it right, but not on this issue. There is an ocean of difference between Neo-Liberal/Liberal warmongers (DNC) and genuine Progressives who have turned off MSM and are looking to alternative, independent news sources.

  3. Things like left and righ, progressive and conservative are all faces of the same usury system. Syria has his socialist and nationalist Bath party and piss all over this.

That being said, its not the case that I am anti-USA. There’s just things going wrong, and the idea of being ok with that many people suffering is just unacceptable, even if there is a good reason for allowing or doing what is being done.

The USA is still a free country to live in. If given the choice between Russia, Iran or USA, it would be my first choice to be in USA. Same language, same culture etc.
Choice between Israel or some Middle Eastern countries, I’d choose Israel. Has a Western value system and similar culture standards to myself. Not sure if I’d cut it in some of those places.
Also the fact that Israel’s population has nothing to do with anything Biblical, I’m not advocating that they are expelled or anything. A lot of people are picking up an attitude like this. If people are fair, NZ Australia, America, South Africa are all colonized by Europeans. If one advocates expelling people of Israel to Palestine, then NZ, Aus, Canada, USA are actually in the same boat. Stupid idea.

Solution: Kennedy / Trump ideal of Fortress America.
America stays on top through hard work, goes back to the American Dream way of thinking, deals fairly with the rest of the world, polices it fairly.
Doesn’t just do the easy route, does the hard route because they have high standards and can face challenges.

Right now it has reached the point of USA having absolute power without accountability, and having the attitude of “win at all costs” and/or “full spectrum dominance”
Doing the right thing may seem difficult, but becomes a trap. It becomes a big problems when it is done constantly and as a standard practice – then the rest of the world hates you.
e.g. Pakistan may be riddled with crappy people – the type that do honour killings and such. Droning them OTOH will lead to problems in future – even if that country is not desirable to live in.
Israel need to respect the Palestinians. Stuff like that.

The Western world should go back to clean politics.
Desist from underhand means of getting things done. One example would be empowering “Islamic Extremism”, a concept started in 1980 by USA through Operation Cyclone, Brzezinski to destroy the USSR. It worked, but a decade or two down the line, one can see the fruits of what was created, and how it came back to bite them.
If things were kept clean, and that example never happened, would the world be facing these issue today?

I am open to the idea that everything I say may be wrong on how I see this.

    • McCain’s a crook and a dangerous one at that. He’s also an arch warmonger and complete supporter of war for profit that suits the MIC to a tee! Like much of the past US Administration he has a lot of foreign blood on his hands; but like most he could not care less!

    • +Rob M I agree for the most part. Cui bono? To ask that is always helping to understand the master minds behind historic events. But what does KSA mean?

  4. America behaviour had made herself an enemy to the entire world there toys are ballistic missile bomb war ship etc remember ps 20 many trust in their chariot all their regime change has cause all this problem all over the world with Qatar Saudi emirate all their oil that God gave them will be the same thing that will judge them but America should know that millions of his nuke and ammunition with the one nathayahu and his fake Jew will not help them but Christ Jesus the God of justice

  5. I don’t want war, but it is an empirical fact that Assad is a dictator. The discussion of that isn’t even within the realm of respectable political debate.

    • He is a ”dictator” that most people in Syria supports. He is a ”dictator”, even so he has much more support of his own people than the american ”democratic” president. LOL. He IS the only legitimate president of Syria and most of normal syrian people who doesn’t want to see their country fell in to the hands of jihadi goat fucker sharia law are united behind him. End of story. It doesn’t matter the word you misinformed and brainwashed people by msm in the west, who think your particular western concepts and worldview are somehow universal, choose to call him.

    • That writer is great. I know who RT is and how they get paid. I’m not so influenced by propaganda like you obviously are. I have no issue with Russia or it’s people. I don’t love their leader but I don’t like any of ours either, past or present.

RT brings other perspectives, some I agree with some I don’t. The journalist that she is speaking to is very respected by me and I’ve been reading his work for some time. I’m happy to see him get recognized by bigger news outlets even if they are Russian.

Also, I am absolutely against our part in this war. Which is much bigger than people in this country seems to believe. Keep falling for the propaganda little one. They own you.

    • Living Simply,

If you aren’t trolling, and actually believe what you saying in these comments I am going to give you a few topics to research. I am not saying “you are in error in many things and your worldview is wrong.” as this would get you angry and be unproductive. Kind of like a Hindu telling a Muslim his God is wrong and vice versa. What people believe deep down won’t just change. I don’t expect you to ..just.. believe me, and if you did take my word (a total stranger) as gospel truth, that would make you a gullible idiot not worth talking to.
I just ask you to read up the follow certain things you may not have been aware of; they will give a different picture. If you honestly are a person who looks for the facts, that is great. (and you will be glad you did)

So if I could simply plead with you, if you have some spare time to explore the following topics. After you become aware of them, you can make a judgement on issues. You will still find it interesting as these things will explain what a lot of the comments are about, and where those making the comments are coming from:

      Sykes-Picot

Go to Stormcloudsgathering channel, but start with this video
      watch?v=HP7L8bw5QF4
      then this one
      watch?v=p8ERfxWouXs

      Read up:
      NDAA defence act
      petrodollar
Shia vs Sunni (its like the concept of Catholic vs Protestant infighting)
Which countries are Shia and which are Sunni

Which countries have protected Christian Syrians?
      — Answer is Hezbollah (and only Hezbollah)
See the Christians of Lebanon and Hezbollah are friends:
      watch?v=pdZgkGI5h0A

Why most of RT is complaining about Muslim refugees:
      watch?v=fgsrnmzxEUY

Hyper Inflation is a real danger, but the following while fictional is what it actually means
      watch?v=N3q5NyxI8nk

Get some news from an actual Syrian girl (but yes, she lives in Australia)
      watch?v=iLylpRn9uXQ

Why RT people are complaining about Israel
      google for the websites :
      ifamericaknew DOT org
who are jews on the website christianitybeliefs DOT org
      youtube video: (firehorse network channel)
      watch?v=IZZvTZAKgro
Then look up “greater israel project”, “golan heights”

I am not saying it is all 100% truth, but you will see that there are some elements of truth which will help you make more sense of the current events of the world.

And the people of Syria are having a rather hard time. Consider that, once being aware of the above topics, what is happening to them now, is happening to you in a decade or two’s time.
(there are a lot more things I could have included, but I don’t want to give a wall of text. Just a list that will give a context of every post you have replied to in the last hour)

    • Rob M hes just a dumb brit, most likely pissed than i have been working all my life while no one wants to employ a lazy british, bullshitter who is mentally unable to work because ‘we stole all their jobs’!

  6. by ” syrian people ” , you mean the 10 % of syrians that are russia’s proxies in chemical bashar’s areas right ? and those 10 % of syrians who are russia’s proxies or puppets are fighting 90 % of syrians who are mostly U.S proxies !! but i’m not surprised since this is RT the fake propaganda main putin media channel …..!!

  7. Assad smirked laughed at Gaddafi if you’d look that up simply research Gaddafi predicted his death and Assad laughed with a few others but yet so many agreed with Gaddafi. Assad will go or die with or without Russia and whoever backs him will go in the process. it’ll be only a matter of time and blah blah
