This film shows the history of inequality that women in the sports reporting industry have faced, ranging from unequal representation in press boxes and locker rooms in the 1970’s, to present day issues surrounding social media harassment and trolling. Throughout the documentary we hear perspectives from women such as Julie DiCaro, a freelance sports reporter and update anchor at 670 the Score in Chicago, and Melissa Ludtke, a retired Sports Illustrated reporter who played a pivotal role in increasing female accessibility in sports. The film presents the struggles these women and other female sports reporters have encountered in a primarily male dominated field, in the past and present.
