Processing Pittsburgh: GeekWire staffers and local reporters talk tech

On Feb. 8, 2018, GeekWire co-founder Todd Bishop and community innovation editor Monica Nickelsburg spoke at Alloy 26's auditorium in Nova Place about their month-long #GeekWireHQ2 residency in Pittsburgh.

In this video, with local reporters, they discussed tech journalism in the region, how the city is growing as a hub for innovation and how best to tell those stories to include the wider community.

Joining them were tech reporters Courtney Linder of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Aaron Aupperlee of Trib Total Media, Lian Bunny of Pittsburgh Business Times, MJ Slaby of The Incline, Sarah Boden of WESA and Tracy Certo of NextPittsburgh.

Women's Press Club of Pittsburgh hosted the event in partnership with the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania, SPJ Pittsburgh Professional Chapter – Society of Professional Journalists, Pittsburgh Black Media Federation – PBMF, ONA Pittsburgh and Association of LGBTQ Journalists/NLGJA Pittsburgh.
