It’s ridiculous and stupid but I knew that going in. I wasn’t bored. The framing of the Indian scientist did make him appear to be the bad guy…but then he promptly got killed which seemed to me a clear indication that he wasn’t. If anything, I think it was a (poor) attempt to upend the audience expectation.
2:50 Why can’t we all get along? Well I don’t want to submit to a barbaric 7th century death-cult, for one. I mean if they ever stop trying to dominate the world, enslave and rape infidels, execute gays and stone women to death, sure *maybe* we can get along. But some people just don’t want to coexist, they need to be quarantined.
If you’re expecting Shakespeare – you’ll be disappointed. But if you just want to relax, chomp popcorn, and watch a silly, cliched, and preposterous sci-fi disaster/political thriller mash-up – you can have fun with it; like I did. Go in with very low expectations – then enjoy! 😉 The crappy disaster movie is a legitimate genre, in my view. I knew what I was in for – and I loved it!

You don’t like any movie.
First seeing the trailers for Geostorm I was thinking “Well this looks like every other disaster movie, but hey maybe it’s not,” but according to reviews it really is so… *yawn* 2012 though man. That movie could have been better if you cut off the last.. hour? That’s popcorn flick sure, but it goes on for too long and becomes more and more cringy.
