Andy Carvin of NPR discussed use of social media in Arab Spring, a revolutionary wave of demonstrations and protests occurring in the Arab world since late 2010.
Andy Carvin is now senior strategist at NPR's social media desk. Since his arrival at NPR, he has been working to develop a new online strategy for the organization, including citizen journalism, social networking and user-generated content.
Carvin has developed a large following on Twitter who came to rely on his messages and retweets of news and information developing in uprisings across the Middle East.
