Anna M.M. Vetticad is a prominent Delhi-based journalist and the author of The Adventures of an Intrepid Film Critic, an overview of Bollywood told through an account of a year in her life when she decided to blog reviews of every single Hindi film released in New Delhi and its suburbs – including many that most Indian viewers would not have heard of. The book – which features a Foreword by actor Ranbir Kapoor – was released in Delhi in November 2012 by actress Sonam Kapoor. In her 18 years as a journalist, Anna has worked with India Today magazine, The Indian Express newspaper and the TV channel Headlines Today, in addition to which she has been a Consulting Editor with The New Indian Express newspaper. Her work has largely involved behind-the-scenes editorial responsibilities in addition to reporting and anchoring. Among her various assignments at Headlines Today, she hosted her own film-based television interview show Star Trek which drew all the country's eminent entertainment personalities, from Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal and Madhuri Dixit to younger generations of stars. She also hosted and produced the weekly film magazine show The Big Ticket. She has reported on most major Indian entertainment, lifestyle and culture related events and several international ones including the Cannes Film Festival and the Oscars. Anna is an alumnus of the Convent of Jesus and Mary School, New Delhi, and a B.Com (Honours) graduate from Delhi University's Jesus and Mary College where she was the President of the Students' Union. She is a post-graduate in journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, where she is now a visiting lecturer. She is currently multi-tasking as a freelance journalist, journalism teacher, social media consultant and avid blogger.
