Jacob MacDuff was shot and killed by Tigard police in January 2021. The officer was cleared of wrongdoing, but MacDuff’s family argues the investigation was botched.

    • Not really, no. Once you subtract the minority extremist view from the public’s demand, you’ll find that the vast majority want the police to stop killing people – simple as that. If one is to die by the hand of justice, that is supposed to be accomplished by decisions of the courts and actions of the dept of corrections and not the police. Your view that employing thugs to do our policing is better than nothing is understandable but we can and should do better.

  1. Why did they have to point out 1st thing that his family has received millions of dollars? Don’t you think they would rather have their son alive? The money is not what this is about. It’s about police accountability and changing their procedures and the status quo that allows them to get away with killing people unnecessarily every single day.
