In India the shariah laws are limited and Muslims do not have permission to follow full Islamic laws in public. The criminal laws are common to all, only in the case of Inheritance, Marriage, Polygamy, Adoption etc Muslims were given the right to practice under the Indian constitution way back in 1956 (I assume). Even if Muslims have full shariah, it can’t impose the laws on non-Muslims, as long as non-Muslims pay some kind of tax (jazhia) to the Islamic Government and they will get full protection to practice their religion. Having said this, the non-Muslims have to submit to the laws of the land in other cases outside their religion like punishments for adultery, sodomy etc. There are many christians, jews in the middle than what people assume. They are there for ages now and enjoying their living among Muslims.
I dont see how can this shari laws which ONLY applies to muslims in india affect the rest of the country.. India has second largest muslim communite after Indonesia if I am not mistaken

You can’t generalise about a dam’s impact towards flooding. Indeed, in China major dam projects like the Three Gorges were designed from the outset to prevent flooding.
