St. Louis Cardinals star Matt Holliday is "day to day" after a pitch traveling 95 miles per hour slammed into his face during a Thursday night MLB game.
That's right — Holliday took a 95-mph pitch to the face and somehow avoided significant injury.

Matt Holliday was hit by a fastball from Padres pitcher Andrew Cashner in the sixth inning Thursday night. The mis-thrown pitch hit Holliday square in the face — "near the left side of his nose and upper lip," according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
