Dateline Portland Oregon – March 17, 2013: Just another Sunday, out to buy my frozen dinner. Hey, even CItizen Journalists have to eat sometimes don't they? When out of the corner of my eye … who can it beeeeeee now? (Queue that old Men at Work song for background music.) Yep none other than Governor John Kitzhaber himself grabbing some frozen QFC-brand delicacies. Oh Crap! … my camera dies! Quick: switch to flip phone and beat feet over to Produce.
With the Citizen Journalist still off his radar, the Kitz engages all friendly-like with another constituent who spots him with a locally grown eggplant. "How's it going?" offers the Gov. "Not good, not good," comes the angry retort. Ah well, just another day at the market for Oregon's Political Aristocracy. The CItizen Journalist introduces himself, and politely tries for an interview. But all he gets is the Gov's angry brush off and the back of the jacket. How would I caption the final look on Kitz's face? "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!?!" Gather the kids around folks, this one's fun for the whole family.
Ok… i like your channel. it routinely shows the absurdity of liberals…. but following politicians into their personal like is over the line.
This is pretty dumb buddy. Let the man shop in peace.
Angry brush off? Hardly.
I didn’t follow him in. I was shopping and saw him there. I’m a constituent. Shouldn’t a politician be responsible to the constituency? I think you meant “life” and not “like.” Politicians are paid by the taxpayer and are available 24×7 when in public spaces. But you are entitled to your opinion. And please subscribe!
Why is it dumb? He’s my elected representation in Government. I can’t ask him a question. I’m not your “buddy.”
Well that’s your opinion. Unfortunately it’s wrong, and not supported by the video evidence. But by all means please subscribe to the channel!
Wow, pulling out your camera and bothering an elected official while they’re getting dinner, and being surprised that they just want to go about their business and continue shopping in peace… yeah, that’s really polite and appropriate… stay classy…
It would have been nice of him to answer a few questions. Something tells me he would have no problem if it was some hack like Jeff Mapes.
Appalling that you would enter into his space with a camera when the poor man is trying to do everyday business. Then having the gall to title the vid ‘angry brush off’?? I think Kitz remained very controlled considering the circumstance.
Kitzhaber only cares about his own agenda….complete tool.
Judging from your other videos, he was wise to walk away before getting some spiel about how the 2nd Amendment granted an absolute right to own any type of gun, or how CO2 isn’t really a heat-trapping gas.
Good for him.
