  1. tbh gallagher’s durability is definitely the reason he’s captain. Placing Reece James and Chilwell as captains and vice captains is a huge oversight when Thiago should’ve remained captain as he was vice captain last season and fortunately hasn’t accrued little to no injurty this season., and with the Luton game he cares for the club and knows they should be doing better whether the camera is on him or not.

    • Gallagher is well up for lazy giveaways 70 mins into the game. Similar act to Bruno Fernandes, you’ll never win titles or reach the top with these kind of players, nevermind captain of a club.

    • @@Hubris030 Been called out for not being a “chelsea fan” for speaking up about this too. Gallagher is flawed, and often runs off on his own takes on unnecessary challenges with his fouls leading to free kicks close to the net and leaving caicedo to deal with the attack on his own. As these guys have said mid captain for a mid team is all we can do for now. There’s honestly too much that needs fixing. But a good start which the club has neglected would be to get a good striker to convert our missed shots into goals. If selling Gallagher gets us said striker then so be it.

    • @@TheSlyDragon93Chelsea’s worst performance came with Gallagher out of the team suspended. He’s flawed – but so are literally every other player in this chelsea squad. Age, inexperience, durability, pace, decision making, finishing, timing…no player ticks every box in this team.

Along with Palmer, Gallagher has been the most consistent performer this season.

    • @@thatonebirtyd5058 those scraps have uplifted us until recently

A team being out of form is perfectly normal
Let’s not be stupid now matey

I’d welcome Kalvin Phillips in a heartbeat
Him and Rice work well together in midfield

Would be nice to have more players that are playing for club and country

Hence why I would also welcome Jadon Sancho

      Yes you read that correctly

Jadon Sancho for 20-30m for me is a steal
And can be great cover for both martinelli and Saka

    • @@stickykitty No issue with Sancho being mentioned but Phillips just isn’t up to the level you want especially as a pairing to Rice although he’d be a big improvement over Havertz for an overall mid who’s better suited to sitting back a little deeper

    • He is 31 yrs old and very injury prone. One aspect of reliability is availability. You can’t hang your hat on someone who is barely available to built a strong team. This is like the Martial situation 5 yrs ago, see what it is today. We’ve got a long-term project to draw, things won’t change overnight and Varane is not part of this long-term vision and sporadically part of the present.

    • However he can’t be sold in January all our defenders are injured who are you gonna put at defense scott? Next thing Kyle walker at city is the same age he still have 5 good years left how Is this not a futuristic player

    • @@bigmitchtv3922shouldn’t have signed him in the first place. He was exceptional before the injuries but after all the injuries he clearly lost pace and confidence. He needed Ramos to bail him out regularly. And Real wouldn’t have let him go if they still rated him.

  2. I could see both Ramsdale and Phillips going to Newcastle given how Newcastle love signing English players. The CDM makes so much sense as a priority but it would be amazing though and should be prioritised since we can’t have two loans in the same division. Phillips loan with option for a medium ish fee sounds like great business.

  3. Honestly don’t care which team he goes to, but I would love to see mbappe in the premier league, it would be a now or never moment for him to really see how well he can push his career

  4. Phillips second string to the best, game changing defensive midfielder in the world. Nothing ‘sad’ or ‘forfeiting’ of his situation. Of course every player wants to play regularly but he played for the best team in the world of last few seasons.

  5. I have never understood the fuss over Philips, he had one good game for England and everyone got hyper excited about him. If he was good enough, Pep would have played him.
