Premier League shareholders’ meeting ends with no new deal for EFL clubs. No vote. There won’t be a new deal until PL clubs agree new financial system to govern themselves. PL clubs had been under government pressure to agree new EFL deal before football regulator comes in.

They didn’t even vote on it.
Thats terrible. The EFL is in shambles now, everyone just throwing money on clubs just to make it to the prem, then get knocked back down first season. Terrible system, the profit should be shared much more.
still better than la liga which is now a 1 horse race since barca cant compete anymore with real
What goes up must come down. It takes a very short sighted owner to not help out the lower tiers. I’m a Leeds fan and I’ve seen both sides of it. Clubs like Brentford, palace, forest, Everton, Burnley and sheff utd have to see it makes sense. But the ffp rules are a mess right now.
@@1977Futre true, i dont know why big clubs dont understand a rising tide raises all ships. strong lower tiers make the EPL even stronger
yeah, abou that give money to my enemy and they use that to relegates us
Not going to happen
Utter greed by the EPL
its more complicated than you are aware
You’ll keep watching so spare me.
The EPL only have themselves to blame by paying the ridiculous transfer fees and rediculous wages they ars paying. That’s the reason they are losing money. Clubs like City and Chelsea drove prices through the roof and disregarded the fact they were the cause with their illegal spending.
Utter greed on both sides.
EFL needs to act at local level .Bums on seats .Look at some 3rd round FA Cup games
was like Lockdown crowd wise – lower league is like that many weeks .Not enough locals go anymore & that filters to non league too . Couple of hundred through the door these days dont even pay the leccy for floodlights for 2 hours .
Sounds like someones getting shot in the background
That was epl shooting down the hope of more money for efl 😂😂
Sniper picking off the efl chairmen
4:12 hahaha he doesn’t even stutter
The guy got shot in the arm look
It’s Rick Parry getting shot
Day by day they are killing English football
It’s actually varball now fella. English football died 30 years ago. 🏴🫵🏽🇬🇧👍🏼🏴
@@section5760var isnt ruining football tbh. It’s just the refs using it are braindead
The premier league clubs don’t care until they’re the ones relegated to the EFL
When you consider how many clubs run that precarious line. It is very short-sighted. Very disappointing.
The efl were asking for parachute payments to be scrapped.
So the opposite is true. Some pl clubs are worried they will be relegated and won’t get the parachute payments.
@@lilbaz8073 well the EFL doesn’t want three yoyo clubs getting all the cash. They still want support from the prem, otherwise the gulf would be gulf would be even bigger than it is now when parachute payments are given out.
Capitalism lol
Yeah loserfool, man United and arsenal should be worried 😟
Making a loss? stop making crazy transfer fees
And when they get relegated they’ll miss out on everything
Individual clubs don’t get to decide the prices on the global transfer market dave
@@davidz2690no but they definitely do decided to pay that 100 mil for the player that is not worth that much in first place. Look at Anthony united made that guy be worth that much none else.
@@davidz2690 But they will argue the same old thing – our careers are 10 – 15 years if you are lucky , we need to earn in them 10 years .Every player aint gonna be a manager .If they are smart they invest their earnings & not spaff if down the bookies
Clubs have money to spend because fans have money to spend. So, the problem are the fans, not the clubs who are spending as much as they can to reduce tax payments on earned profits.
The PL alone need investigation and refs
The problem is the groups in charge like FA, PGMOL, & FFP are the most corrupt of the bunch.
Premier League clubs are losing money because of the ridiculous transfer fees and wages…. that’s by choice.
Giving away EFL club’s money also by choice
And EFL lose money for the same readon.
It’s less compared to nba. ..mlb nfl… What’s so ridiculous?
Rather, I think it should be doubled. And soccer salaries are speculation. No one knows the highest salary in EPL
More like the EFL clubs want free money for no work.
@@user-Ic7hx7wd9c they don’t have transfer fees just compensation from trades so more money for wages etc
The game needs to collapse financially. Sadly to get realism back in it.
I couldn’t agree more with you – my feelings entirely! Players are obscenely overpaid and it’s ruining the game!
Moneys overtaken everything that made the game so special. Just remember how fa cup finals USED to feel in this country. Now, they are just an inconvenience to most clubs who’s only aim is to finish top 4 for the money.
If they keep going down this track it will, sooner or later, it’ll all come down like a stack of cards. Unfortunately it’s the fans, communities and workers at the clubs that will suffer the most. They need a 50+1 rule or a rule that clubs pay xyz amount to the league and local communities.
@@KTopicsthat can be fixed by giving winners automatic qualification to UCL. Or if the winners are qualifying through table position go to finalist and then semi finalist
Oil clubs like Chelsea & man city have ruined things
Non-league clubs also need the money
😂😂😂
It’s all a big money laundromat for the dirty cash
Pure corruption has spoilt the game we all love, KRO 💙
transfer fees are daft and players’ wages need to be capped all across fifa
Kaveh sounds like he has been captured
There seems to be a great sickness in the world today: corporate greed. You can see it all over, football and other sports, subscription services, the gaming industry, government.
No matter how much profit they make, it’s never enough.
The Bible said that thousands of years ago but proud people think they know best.
It’s their company, they should be able to do whatever they want with it , nothing greedy about that.
Don’t pay for a service and whine about how rich they are. People moan about Jeff bezos and all his wealth. Well, don’t use amazon, then lol.
Agree. Then when questioned about their greed they blame Putin/Trump/Palestine/Matt Le Tissier or whoever their scapegoat or bogeyman of the week is and the sheeple buy it.
As if greed and hoarding of resources hasn’t been going on since the beginning of civilisation ?🤣
The prem clubs have said “we want to spend more money without regulation,” but have also said “we’re running at a loss already…” what a joke of a league. Football is no longer a competition or a sport anymore, it’s just popularity contest.
Chelsea because of the Russian Mafia money in the past and Man C Arab oil money, both trying to use money to buy influence and power.
Hotel in Central London? He sounds like he’s behind enemy lines on the Russian border
Conference room
😂😂 brilliant comment so underated mate
😂😂
😂😂😂
Considering the state of certain parts of London these days, it doesn’t surprise me as much as it should. I just think “Oh yeah, it’s London in 2024, what do you expect?”
As an American, I’m ashamed to say that the American sports owner mindset has infiltrated the EPL deeply.
Very true. And the mindset that football clubs are just assets. Assets that in theory will be always be worth more in the future than now.
American’s should be banned from owning British football clubs, they ruin the clubs and have zero clue about football.
There should be a salary cap as the wages are getting out of hand
What about the salary floor?
@@user-Ic7hx7wd9cThat’s called a league minimum, and that also exists in systems with a salary cap.
Unless you get EVERY league in the world to agree to that (rofl good luck) a salary cap wouldn’t work.
Don’t cap salaries. Cap transfer bids. Any bid beyond 35mil should be justified to the other members along commercial obligations.
At this point, football is more about finances and numbers than the London Stock exchange.
