Transfer deadline day: WATCH Sky Sports reporter SPLASHED live on TV – Palace ace responds
======================================
 As is normal with the last day of the summer window, Sky Sports have presenters based at training grounds for every Premier League team bringing fans the latest news on incomings and outcomings. Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge was the man tasked with bringing Crystal Palace fans the latest news but he came in for a shock this morning when the players started arriving for training. While doing a piece to camera, a car was seen driving past him in the background, accidentally splashing the reporter. “Oh my god I’ve just been splashed. Oh my God! That's live TV for you!” Bridge said. “That wasn’t Wilfried Zaha who just splashed me because more good news for Crystal Palace is I have seen Zaha, he’s given me a wave. “Palace fans have been so worried all summer. ‘Is he or isn’t he leaving Crystal Palace?’ But I don’t think he’s going anywhere because Wilfried Zaha is here and he’s ready to train.” Shortly after the broadcast went out, Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt came forward to take responsibility for soaking the presenter. He tweeted: “Think I just splashed one of your reporters @SkySportsNews …I’ll warn the boys of the puddle as they enter training sooooorrryyyy! #DeadlineDay”. Bridge replied: “Yes, me mate!!!!” Van Aanholt then offered to make amends for his actions. “If you need some kit! Let me know”, the defender tweeted. Van Aanholt has been linked with a move away from the Eagles this summer with the likes of Juventus chasing him. But the Holland international recently poured cold water on speculation he could leave the club, insisting he is happy at Palace. "It is always good to be linked with big clubs like Juventus. It is a sign that I am in a good way,” Van Aanholt said. "I am feeling good and I want to keep doing that, but I am a Palace player and I am looking forward to the season. "I am happy. We have got a great squad, my family lives in London, my kids go to school here. "It is just a rumour and unless there is really people coming in then I will never worry about it." Van Aanholt, who is under contract with Palace until 2021, is expected to start in their opening game against Fulham on Saturday (3pm).
