Petition calls for DOJ investigation into police harassment of citizen journalists

The International Documentary Association has launched an online petition asking the Department of Justice to intervene when local police arrest or harass civilians who document and record police violence. Jose Lasalle, founder of Copwatch Patrol Unit, says these videos provide evidence of the “harassment and brutality” citizens face from police on a daily basis.
